The time required to translate a document depends on the length of your source text and the language combination. For most documents, a reasonable rule of thumb is that a translator can work through 1,500 to 2,000 words per day. Complex technical documents or those requiring significant background research may take longer.

Urgent projects can sometimes be speeded up by “out of hours” working or dividing the project between individual translators. This depends on the details of the project, and the importance of absolute consistency throughout. However urgent your translation, we recommend contacting one of our translation project managers at the earliest opportunity to discuss your options.

We provide translation to and from all commonly used business languages. In addition we work with many languages beyond these: over 50 in total and increasing. For specific language enquiries, contact us to discuss how we can help with your translation needs.
We have strict operating procedures for our translation process. Our translation operations have a standard operating procedure with different levels of review to ensure checks and balances. We do not accept any translation work in areas that are not our field of specialization.

For most straightforward projects, the first level is that our translator ensures that the translated text meets our operational checklist requirements, i.e. all text is translated and spellchecked, terminology is consistent, the text is linguistically correct and tailored for the target group, taking into account the reference material and any cultural references, etc. Thereafter, a second reviewer examines the text to double-check that these criteria have been met. Before delivery, the project manager then checks that the file is not corrupt and that the translation corresponds to your order in every respect.

Translated Right works with a team of professional translators. Our translators are usually educated to a university degree level and would have a higher level qualification in a language. This is in addition to being a native speaker of your target language.
